Seohyun Confirms "Passionate Love" Role; Makes Acting Debut

Seohyun fans, rejoice! The lovely Girls’ Generation maknae has confirmed her casting status in the upcoming drama, “Passionate Love.”

On August 26, “Passionate Love” sources spoke with SportsSeoul.com and said, “Seohyun’s casting for SBS’ ‘Passionate Love’ has been confirmed,” and “Seohyun will appear for about four episodes.”

This source revealed the background story of how Seohyun reached her decision. “The producers of the drama strongly requested her casting and Seohyun’s reps felt that the role was very fitting for her image, which was how the decision was reached.”

Seohyun will play the role of Han Yoo Rim, who is the first love of the male lead. Han Yoo Rim is an intelligent and beautiful college student, who becomes a huge influence to the male lead’s life. This drama will be Seohyun’s first challenge as a melodrama actress.

“Passionate Love” will air its pilot episode in October.
