No New Episodes Will Be Aired This Week for "Goddess of Fire, Jung-yi"

Due to the injury actress Moon Geun Young sustained last week, MBC‘s drama “Goddess of Fire, Jung-yi” will not air any new episodes on September 23 and 24 of this week. 

The actress was injured last week in an accident where filming equipment fell on her eyes, and she was rushed to the emergency room. Although it appeared to be just a minor injury, the swelling and bruising was serious enough that the staff decided to halt all filming and production for now.

MBC’s representatives reported, “Due to the lead actress’ injury, we have no choice but to cancel all filming plans for now. Instead, we will be releasing a special broadcast for ‘Goddess of Fire, Jung-yi’ on the 23rd and 24th.” The special broadcast will feature highlights from the aired episodes of “Goddess of Fire, Jung-yi” so far.  

Moon Geun Young’s agency released this statement, “After the accident, the amount of swelling and bruising appeared at an alarming rate. After much discussion, we decided to cancel all filming for now. After getting the doctor’s diagnosis, we plan to get injured area medically treated.”
