Girls' Generation's Seohyun Chooses To Be "Seo Joo Hyun" on "Passionate Love" Credits

Girls’ Generation‘s youngest member, and the latest to take up an acting project, Seohyun, will be credited as “Seo Joo Hyun,” her birth name on her debut drama, “Passionate Love.” 

“All this time I’ve been ‘Girls’ Generation’s Seohyun.’ Since this is my first acting challenge, I do not want it to be an extension of my work as a singer. That is why I wanted to debut in acting using my real name, Seo Joo Hyun,” Seohyun said during at the drama’s press conference held on September 23 at the 63 Building in Seoul. “I will work hard as a rookie actor.”

She further added, “The name Seo Joo Hyun is not familiar with a lot of people, but I want to act more in the future using this name until it becomes associated with my performances as an actor. Seo Joo Hyun will show a good image.”

“Passionate Love” premieres on SBS September 28.
