YG Entertainment Says Taeyang and Rottyful Sky Are Not Cousins

The death of Rottyful Sky (Kim Ha Neul) has stirred a wave of condolences among many celebrities. Among them was BIGBANG’s Taeyang, but it has been confirmed he and Rottyful Sky are not cousins.

On October 9, a representative of YG Entertainment stated in a press interview, “The deceased (Rottyful Sky) had close relations with Taeyang and his brother, Dong Hyun Bae. However, they are not cousins,” and added, “Their parents have a close relationship.” 

After receiving news about Rottyful Sky’s death, Taeyang expressed his condolences on his Twitter saying, “I’m sorry, Ha Neul.” Also, Taeyang’s older brother and actor, Dong Hyun Bae tweeted, “Haneul, we had such a fun conversation on Chuseok… I don’t know what to feel right now. I’m sorry I couldn’t call you more often. I will cherish your bright smile. I’m sure you went through much struggle. I hope you will be happy in heaven singing your songs.”

Rottyful Sky passed away on October 8 after struggling against a brain tumor.
