Jang Dong Gun and Go So Young Donate One Hundred Million Won to Charity
The top star couple proved they are beautiful not only on the outside, but the inside as well, as they have helped those in need for the fourth consecutive year.
Representative of the Eastern Social Welfare Society revealed on October 11, “Yesterday, Jang Dong Gun and Go So Young donated one hundred million won (~100,000 USD) to our organization. The whole amount will be used to support and improve the welfare of struggling single moms and young children waiting to be adopted.”
Go So Young personally paid a visit to the center to deliver the donation on October 10.
Since tying the knot in 2010 and having their son enter the world soon after, the two have annually given one hundred million won to charity, and thus strengthened their position as the leading star couple.
After participating in filming the MBC documentary “Mom Has A Dream Also,” Go So Young has been said to form a special bond with single mothers and their children. In the upcoming episode, she showed her motherly side by helping the women buy groceries and feed their babies.
The actress said, “I realized that the same way I have dreams and goals as an actress and a designer ever after becoming a mother, single moms feel the same way. I want to support the brave women taking care of their children alone.”
In addition to these activities, Go So Young is showing continuous support for single moms and infants through charity work. Jang Dong Gun is known for being a spokesperson for UN’s World Food Programme (WFP), and has participated in helping to clean the aftermath of disasters such as the 2010 Haiti Earthquake and 2011 Japan Tsunami.
