Sam Hammington Says He Intends to Enlist His Son to the Korean Army

Popular Australian comedian and actor based in Korea Sam Hammington has been receiving much attention and support through his regular appearances on MBC’s “Real Men,” a show where celebrities experience Korean military life. During a recent radio broadcast, he declared, “I’m going enlist my son in the Korean army.”

Sam Hammington appeared on MBC FM4U’s “Kim Shin Young’s Hope Song at Noon” in a segment titled, “Sam Teacher’s English.”

On the show DJ Kim Shin Young asked, “You said you are going to send your son to the Korean army. What is the reason for that?”

Sam Hammington replied, “I learned a lot about the army. I think soldiers who have experience living abroad are cool.”

He also added with a laugh, “People who are immature grow up once they go to the army. My son will be immature without question. I don’t think I can handle it on my own, so I’m going to enlist him in the army.”
