Lee Yeon Hee Confirms Her Role on New Drama “Miss Korea”

Actress Lee Yeon Hee confirmed she will be starring in MBC’s new Wednesday-Thursday drama, “Miss Korea.”

On October 21, a representative from the drama’s production company, SM C&C, announced, “Lee Yeon Hee confirmed her role in the drama,” and added, “We are in the final stages of casting the male lead role.” This will be Lee Yeon Hee’s first drama in six months after her brief appearance on MBC’s “Gu Family Book.”

“Miss Korea” will be replacing “Medial Top Team” once the drama ends. The story is about an average girl from a small town and the happenings that take place when she enters the Miss Korea pageant with the help of the people around her. The producer of “Golden Time,” Kwon Seok Jang, will be working with writer, Seo Sook Hyang. The two worked together to produce MBC’s 2010 drama “Pasta.”

Meanwhile, Lee Yeon Hee finished filming for the movie “Marriage Blue,” which will be in theaters on November 21. She will spend the remaining of 2013 filming for the drama.

“Miss Korea” is projected to begin airing in December.
