Jewelry’s Kim Yewon to Join the Cast of “Miss Korea”

Girl-group Jewelry’s Yewon will be joining the new MBC drama “Miss Korea” for her first official drama acting role since her debut.

She will be playing the fairly sizable role of Lee Young Sun, who is the main character’s best friend, and will have a important role in the progression of the drama. 

Previously, Kim Yewon appeared on MBC’s sitcom “Standby,” tvN’s “Reply 1997,” and KBS’s “Love and War 2 – Idol Special.” While she does have some acting experience from these, this will be her first serious acting role since her run as member of Jewelry.

“Miss Korea” is a romantic comedy starring actor Lee Sun Kyun from “Pasta” and “Golden Time,” and Lee Yeon Hee from “Ghost.”

It will air in December after the end of the current drama “Medical Top Team.”
