Super Junior's Kangin Cast for Upcoming Movie "The Cat Funeral"

Great news to all Super Junior fans, Kangin will be returning to the movie scene!

The idol has been cast for the lead role of “The Cat Funeral” and will be playing an indie musician named Dong Hoon. Based on a popular webtoon, the movie tells the romantic but mellow story of previous lovers, who meet after a year of breaking up when Dong Hoon (Kangin) tells his ex-girlfriend (Park Se Young) that their cat has passed away. The two leave for an overnight trip to hold the funeral for their cat.

The producer revealed, “Kangin’s purity and sad emotion in his eyes made us cast him for the role of male lead Dong Hoon. We also needed someone who can express the variety of charms Dong Hoon has by playing the guitar, singing, and acting in a delicate manner.”

Kanginn has previously shown his professional acting skills in movies Attack on the Pin-Up Boys (2007) and Hello, Schoolgirl (2008).

“The Cat Funeral” will begin filming in mid-November, and the premiere is expected to take place in the first half of next year.
