Earlier in the day, YG Entertainment had posted a teaser image for G-Dragon’s “Who You” MV on their official blog. According to the teaser, the music video for “Who You” will be released on November 13 at 8:08 PM. The underlying picture seems to be a rough sketch of the stage layout.

Why 8:08 PM? Well, mainly because the number eight holds a special meaning to G-Dragon and to his fans. Born on August 18, 1988, G-Dragon seems to have a special affection for lucky number eight.

This music video saw one thousand fans take part in the filming of the video. On October 5, G-Dragon and his fans shot the MV together at Ilsan KINTEX. The completed music video shows the fans who took part in the filming, as well as G-Dragon. His fans have sometimes been able to observe the filming of music videos, but this time, they were able to directly participate in the filming, an unprecedented move on the part of YG.

The set for “Who You” MV was a special transparent glass box of approximately 50 meters, and showcased G-Dragon’s personal belongings, including his collection of toys, clothes, shoes, and his car.

G-Dragon is expected to start solo promotions in Japan on November 27 and join the rest of Big Bang in their Japanese 6-Dome Tour starting this weekend on November 16.
