Lee Sun Kyun, Lee Yeon Hee, and Others Come Together for First Script Reading for

The cast and crew of the upcoming drama “Miss Korea” came together for the drama’s first script reading.

The script reading took place at the MBC broadcasting station in Ilsan. Lee Sun Kyun, Lee Yeon Hee, Lee Mi Sok, Lee Sung Min, Song Sun Mi, Lee Ki Woo, Go Sung Hee, and Jewelry’s Kim Ye Won were there as the main cast.

“Miss Korea” takes place in 1997 and is about a failing cosmetics company that tries to turn a former high school beauty queen into Miss Korea. Lee Yeon Hee will play the former Queenka (the most popular and/or prettiest girl in school) who has grown up to be nothing more an an elevator girl. Lee Sun Kyun will play an employee of the cosmetics company and will lead the efforts to turn Lee Yeon Hee into Miss Korea to save his company.

Both the lead actors showed strong performances in their voice acting, which encouraged the staff members as they prepare for the actual filming. It was said that the atmosphere of the script reading was friendly and bright.

At the end of the script reading Lee Yeon Hee said, “I was very nervous, but I had a good time. I am looking forward to the actual filming.

Lee Sun Kyun also added his thoughts about the filming. “I am happy to work with the staff and crew of ‘Pasta‘ and ‘Golden Time‘  again. Because we had a good time and our teamwork is good, I believe the filming will go well. I will do my best to bring laughter and warmth as we film in the cold winter.”

“Miss Korea” will air its first episode in December on MBC.
