Rookie Rapper Mato Releases “December 1” (feat. Lee Jae Hun of Cool)

Rookie rapper Mato has released her debut mini-album “One’s Love,” with title song “December 1” featuring Lee Jae Hoon, lead vocalist of Cool.

On November 14, LOEN Music posted the music video for “December 1” on their official YouTube channel.

“December 1” is a sweet confession of love, and provides a sentimental touch with its mellow and distinct vocals. The song’s lyrics are straightforward yet fun, and those in their 20s should be able to identify with its take on love. The song’s lyrics, rhythmic rap and melody line were done by Mato in her own style. Mato, whose real name is Jung Joo Won, has been working underground, and here she is able to tell her own musical story with “One’s Love.”

The music video depicts a couple who meet while working at a café together and their sweet interactions with one another. Mato appears in the background both rapping and singing. She shows off her mature voice, while delivering a good measure of spunk and overflowing cute charisma.

The music video ends with “To be continued,” perhaps a sign that we can expect to see much more of Mato in the future!

Mato is signed under YNB Entertainment, and her first mini-album “One’s Love” features Lee Jae Hun (Cool) and noted underground rapper Vasco.
