Hyorin

After releasing her first solo album “Love&Hate” less than 24 hours ago, Sistar‘s Hyorin has taken the first spot on music charts with her title song “One Way Love.”

The album was released at midnight in Korea, and as of 11am KST, the double title tracks “One Way Love” and “Lonely” were topping the charts. Her agency Starship Entertainment commented, “Hyorin’s first solo album ranked first on the real-time chart of Melon, MNet, Bugs, Olleh Music, Soribada, Naver Music, Daum Music, and other music sites on the morning of November 26.” A quick check shows that the two tracks are still topping the charts at 9pm (KST).

“One Way Love” is produced by the hit-maker Brave Brothers, who is the mastermind behind many songs of Sistar. The unique melody mixing tango and hip hop makes you repeat the song over and over again, and Hyorin’s attractive husky voice brings the whole track together. “Lonely” fits the genre of British retro pop with its acoustic guitar sound and charming piano melody. The lyrics are like a monologue by a lonely woman, who wants to believe in love one more time.

Hyorin held her comeback showcase on November 26 at 3pm (KST) at Ilji Art Hall in Seoul, and this marked the beginning of her official promotions.
