EXO Voted 2013's Best Group at the Chinese Music Billboard Newcomers Awards

Idol group EXO recently won an award for 2013’s ‘best group’ at the 6th Chinese Music Billboard Newcomers Awards, held on December 6 at the assembly hall at the Renmin University of China in Beijing.

The Chinese Music Billboard Newcomers Awards is hosted for new artists in the Chinese music industry. There are a total of 21 award categories, including a ‘best group’ and ‘most popular group’ award, awarded after voting and reviews by music critics.

The ‘best group’ award went to EXO, and EXO’s subunit EXO-M, came back to win the ‘most popular group’ award for the second year in a row.

EXO-M’s Kris, Luhan, Tao, and Lay attended the awards, and said during their acceptance speech, “It’s thanks to our fans that the EXO of today exists. We wish to spend a happy 2014 together with everyone, and we will continue to show everyone a growing and improving EXO.”
