Dal Shabet to Make Their Comeback in January

I don’t mention this often enough but I’m a bit of a fan of Dal Shabet. Song such as “Have, Don’t Have,” “Bling Bling” and “Supa Dupa Diva” hit all the right chords for me. Nice catchy light hearted songs that don’t try to be anything more. They’ve been slowly rising in popularity in more recent times thanks to the success of “Be Ambitious,” and it looks like they want to keep that momentum going because their agency has now revealed that the jolly girl group will be making their comeback in January.

In a statement made to news media outlet “Joonang Illbo,” a representative from “Happy Face Entertainment” has revealed that Dal Shabet will be making their comeback on the second week of January, and that they are deep in the final stages of production. They have also revealed that the concept this time round “Will not be the cute and sexy image that Dal Shabet has shown up till now” but rather they will be going for a “luxurious and sexy image.”

The representative has also revealed that “All we have left is the music video recording and cover photo shoots” and that we will get to “hear music that is fresh and different” from what they have shown off so far.

Dal Shabet was the brain child of famous song composing duo, E-Tribe. They made their official debut in 2011 with the song “Supa Dupa Diva.” A while later, original members Vicky left Dal Shabet to pursue other lines of work including a stint as a weather girl for jTBC’s news program. Vicky’s departure was filled by the addition of new member, Woo Hee, who has risen up to become one of the more popular members within the group. Dal Shabet’s last song was the rather seductive “Be Ambitious,” famous for its skirt flailing “Goddess of Wind” dance.  Other groups expected to make their comeback in the same time period is A Pink and Girls Day. Looks like we are going to have some heated competition in the new year.
