“Mystic Holiday 2013” Tops Four Charts Day After Release, To Hold Live Mini-Concert on Naver Music
Yoon Jong Shin’s Mystic89 released its winter single “Christmas Wishes” on December 12, and it has been doing pretty well on the charts.
“Christmas Wishes” was number one on four music charts, including Bugs, Genie, and Olleh Music, and also ranked in the top ten on Mnet, Soribada and Naver Music charts. The main vocalists are the female artists of Mystic89, Park Ji Yoon, Jang Jae In, Lim Kim, and Puer Kim; each of the artists wrote the lyrics to their own part, making it all the more special to music fans. “Christmas Wishes” conveys a warm feeling that befits the holiday season.
All the Mystic89 artists took part in making the music video. The use of Christmas colors and charming props makes it feel like Christmas is indeed here. While there is no fixed choreography, the artists are seen rocking out and dancing casually to the song. Seeing the artists come together and having fun interacting, and the contented smiles on their faces is sure to bring a smile to one’s face.
There is also a 2009 version, performed by Yoon Jong Shin, Hareem, Na Yoon Kwon, Brian, Younha, Jung Ji Chan and IU, in which Younha sings in Japanese while playing the piano, while Brian’s part is in English.
The company says that “Mystic Holiday 2013,” the album containing “Christmas Wishes,” is Mystic89’s present to fans. Mystic89, which has really gotten people taking notice this year, says, “Please anticipate the music of Mystic89’s artists next year as well.”
Mystic89 previously released the music video for “Christmas Wishes” on December 12, and revealed their Christmas wishes in a teaser for the song on December 5. Mystic89’s artists will be holding a live mini-concert, “Snowy Night,” on Naver Music on December 17 at 9pm KST.
