Rain Says He Mastered IU’s Dance Routine While Serving in the Military

On the Mnet show “Rain Effect,” which aired on December 19, singer and actor Rain was at backstage of the “2013 MAMA.”

Rain visited his close friends, Lee Hyori and DJ DOC member Lee Haneul, in their waiting room. Rain said to Lee Hyori, “I didn’t recognize anyone while I was walking over here.”

After Lee Hyori heard this, she asked, “Don’t you know all of the girl groups? Didn’t you memorize all of the [girl groups] members’ names when you were in the military?” Rain answered truthfully and said, “I did.”

He spilled the beans about his military experience and said, “Do you know what our morning bugle was [in the military]? The senior officers turned on IU’s song when they woke up in the morning. I even memorized the choreography. If they asked me ‘Hyung, can you dance to the song?’ and I would [dance for them].” Rain then continued to demonstrate IU’s dance.

As he observed Rain’s arm movements Lee Haneul said, “Isn’t this too much?” and Rain replied, “But this is part of the choreography.”

Lee Hyori embarrassed Rain saying, “This is too provocative. I didn’t realize it when IU did it, but it looks dirty when you do it.”
