Jang Yoon Jung Apologizes for the Noisy Year at the 2013 SBS Entertainment Awards

At the 2013 SBS Entertainment Awards on December 30, hosted by Shin Dong Yeop, Kim Won Hee, and Krystal (f(x)), Lee Hwi Jae and Jang Yoon Jung were awarded the ‘Best Couple’ award for their five-years together hosting “1000 Song Challenge.”

Lee Hwi Jae was unable to attend due to another schedule, so Jang Yoon Jung accepted the award on his behalf, as well.

She said, “I’m apologetic for having been the one to receive this award in the midst of some fantastic couples. 2013 was quite an eventful year for me. I got married to the person that I love, and we’ve been blessed with the miracle of a child, too.”

She continued, tearing up, “There were some harsh times too, and it may not be appropriate for the atmosphere here, but I’d like to apologize for all the noisy talk involving me,” referring to the legal battle with her anti-blogger and conflict with her mother.

“‘1000 Song Challenge’ is a 10-year long program. I will never forget the production crew for giving me the opportunity to be with the show for over half of that time. I will have to step down in order to have my baby, but until my last show, I will give my absolute best. Lee Hwi Jae said he was sorry for making me go alone.” She joked, “He said he wishes for his next partner to be absolutely glamorous, so it would be nice if the production team would take that into consideration.”
