Hyorin Sings "Let It Go" for the Ending Credits of Disney's "Frozen"

“Next generation diva” Hyorin sang the end credit soundtrack (Korea release), “Let It Go,” for the Disney animation, “Frozen,” which was the most nominated animation movie for the upcoming 71st Golden Globes.

Following Park Jung Hyun, who sang part of the soundtrack for Disney’s “Mulan,” Hyorin is the second Korean diva to step foot into the Disney world. 

“Let It Go” is the next great Disney song to follow “Can You Feel the Love Tonight” from “Lion King,” “Beauty and the Beast” from “Beauty and the Beast,” among others, and has been nominated for best original song at the 71st Golden Globes, along with other songs by Coldplay, Taylor Swift, Justin Timberlake, and U2.

On participating in a movie soundtrack for the first time, Hyorin said, “Being able to represent Korea in the ending credits of a Disney movie, which I personally love, I couldn’t be happier. Especially following Park Jung Hyun, who sang Mulan’s “Reflection,” as the second Korean artist to sing in a Disney movie, it’s a huge honor.”

She continued, “I believe ‘Let It Go’ from ‘Frozen’ will become one of the greatest Disney songs of all. I’ll sing it just as great as the original, and I won’t let anyone down.” 

The production team that got to listen to Hyorin sing “Let It Go” commented, “It was a truly ecstatic experience.”

The screening version of “Let It Go” in the American version of “Frozen” was sung by Idina Menzel, who also was the voice of Elsa in the movie. Menzel is also famous for her role as Elphaba in “Wicked”on Broadway. The ending credits for “Frozen” in America were sung by the singer-songwriter Demi Lovato. Other versions in Japan and Europe also featured their respective representative divas in the soundtrack.

“Frozen” is a musical animation film about the quest to end an eternal winter.
