Kim Sung Kyun Hasn't Received Many Offers for Roles After "Reply 1994"

“Reply 1994” actor Kim Sung Kyun recently made a guest appearance on KBS 2TV’s “Happy Together 3” on January 9, in a special edition of “2014’s Rising Stars.” Other guests included actors Dohee, Seo Ha Joon, Han Joo Wan and Dal Shabet’s Soobin. 

On that day, Kim Sung Kyun shared that after “Reply 1994,” he shot around 5-6 advertisements. “I couldn’t believe it was happening to me. I had assumed that because of my image, I certainly wouldn’t receive such offers.” 

When asked if he was receiving diverse roles for other projects, Kim Sung Kyun replied, “Actually, I’m not getting any in contrast to what I thought I would receive. When I was a child actor, I received a lot of roles for children. But I’m sure the people making the casting decisions are now unsure as to what role would be best to offer someone like me.”
