Rain Nominated in Five Categories in 2014 World Music Awards

Singer Rain has been nominated in five different categories out of nine in the 2014 World Music Awards.

The nominees for the international awards show were recently revealed, and living up to his title of a world star, Rain made the list in five categories: World’s Best Song with “30SEXY,” World’s Best Video, World’s Best Male Artist, World’s Best Live Act, and World’s Best Entertainer.

The sexy star made his comeback after a four-year hiatus with his sixth studio album on January 1, and has already recorded his first music show win. In addition, he has been cast in the upcoming Hollywood movie “The Prince,” which is currently in the filming stages.

World Music Awards has been held annually since 1989, and it is broadcast to 160 countries all around the world. Other K-pop artists nominated this year include PSY (World’s Best Live Act, World’s Best Song, World’s Best Male Artist, World’s Best Video with “Gangnam Style” and “Gentleman“), SHINee (World’s Best Album, World’s Best Entertainer, World’s Best Live Act), 2NE1 (World’s Best Live Act, World’s Best Group), G-Dragon (World’s Best Entertainer, World’s Best Male Artist), and Trouble Maker (World’s Best Song and World’s Best Music Video), with many other popular acts nominated in one or two categories.
