EXO Wins Daesang at the 28th Golden Disk Awards, "We Feel the Weight of This Award"

EXO took home the biggest honor of the night, the daesang, at the 28th Golden Disk Awards and expressed their gratitude and joy.

EXO has been named as one of the most successful groups in 2013 by having a record number of sales and becoming a million seller, being the first K-Pop artist to do so in years.

Last year, EXO received the Best Rookie award at the 27th Golden Disk Awards and this year, they shot straight up to the very top. While receiving the award, EXO commented, “We feel the weight of this award and it just got heavier. As much as the weight of this award, we will become an EXO that never forgets this stage and your love.” They also commented, “We have received this daesang after a year we received our Rookie award. We’re so happy. We will make you all as happy as we have been loved. Please look forward to us.”

EXO also reecived the bonsang for the album category on this night for a total of two awards this year. This totals up to nine trophies for SM artists this year including Girls’ Generation, SHINee, f(x) and Infinite.
