Jung Yoo Mi and Choi Tae Joon are Leads for New Drama “Mother’s Garden”
Actress Jung Yoo Mi and actor Choi Tae Joon have been confirmed as leads for MBC’s new daily drama “Mother’s Garden.”
Multiple broadcasting insiders have stated, “Jung Yoo Mi’s been casted as the female lead, Seo Yoon Joo, for ‘Mother’s Garden. The male lead, Cha Ki Joon, will be played by Choi Tae Joon, received a lot of love through his SBS drama ‘Ugly Alert.’”
“Mother’s Garden” will be a “kind drama” with the themes of warm family affection and love. At the helm are script writer Park Jung Ran (MBC’s “A Thousand Kisses,” “Don’t Cry My Love”) and director Noh Do Chul (MBC dramas “Sparkling,” “General Hospital 2”).
Jung Yoo Mi plays the bright and straightforward daughter of a conglomerate family, Seo Yoon Joo. Choi Tae Joon’s character Cha Ki Joon is a second generation romantic chaebol, with the secret dream of being a chef.
Jung Yoo Mi’s last drama was SBS weekend drama “Wonderful Mama,” and she’s currently appearing on MBC variety show “We Got Married” with Jung Joon Young, while Choi Tae Joon completed SBS daily drama “Ugly Alert” in November last year.
“Mother’s Garden” will follow after “King’s Daughter, Soo Baek Hyang” and will air on MBC in March. It will be the first modern drama in the 9:00 PM time slot following two consecutive sageuks, “Gu Am Heo Jun” and “Soo Baek Hyang.”
