Kim Yoo Jung Cast as Female Lead for New Short Drama

Kim Yoo Jung has been picked as the female lead for a new short drama!

On February 5, KBS drama department sources revealed that Kim Yoo Jung as been cast as the female lead for a new short drama called “Gok Bi” (working title) and shooting will start on February 11.

“Gok Bi” is the story of a girl whose mother’s job is to mourn for a noble’s funeral whenever he/she passed away in the olden times. Kim Yoo Jung’s role is the daughter Yeom Shim, who struggles with her status as a “Gok Bi”s daughter.

“Gok Bi” will be the reunification of Kim Yoo Jung and Seo Joon Young, with whom she worked with in the 2010 drama “Grudge: The Revolt of Gumiho.” Seo Joon Young plays Yoon Soo, the illegitimate son born from a gisaeng and a noble.

“Gok Bi” will be directed by Lee Eun Jin, who has worked on last year’s “Expect Dating,” which starred BoA and became a big hit.
