AOA's First Music Show Win on SBS Inkigayo 02.09.14

On the February 9 broadcast of SBS’ “Inkigayo,” all attention was on which of the three girls groups up for the No. 1 spot would take home the trophy.

The three groups consisted of Girl’s Day, Spica, and AOA.

It was the first time for Spica and AOA to be a front-runner for the No. 1 spot since their debut two years ago.

Spica debuted in January of 2012. In January 2014, they made a comeback with their new track, “You Don’t Love Me,” composed by Lee Hyori. This is the first time Spica has been nominated for the No. 1 spot since their debut. The members of Spica were honored just from being nominated as they shed tears of joy when they heard the news.

AOA made its debut in July 2012. They released “Miniskirt” in January 2014. This was also AOA’s first time being nominated for the top spot on a music program since its debut. After hearing the news of their nomination AOA tweeted on their official Twitter account, “What is happening? We’ve been nominated for No. 1. We’re so happy we can’t believe it.”

Girl’s Day, who released “Something” early January, has already won No. 1 on the show on January 12 and February 2.

With all the anticipation and the expectations, AOA was announced as the winner on the show. Congratulations to all the members of AOA!
