ZE:A’s Dongjun Stars in Short Drama and Donates Talent for Charity

ZE:A’s Dongjun has taken on the leading role along with actress Kim Bo Ra in “Climbing the Sky Wall” (working title), a special short drama created to help raise awareness for disabled people.

The cast attended the production presentation of the drama on April 16 held at the Deoksung Girl’s Middle school in Songhyun-dong, Seoul, receiving the cheer of 300 female middle school students.

“Climbing the Sky Wall” portrays the story of Tae Ho (Dongjun), the son of a former professional mountain climber father who loses the ability to move the lower half of his body. The story tells the conflict and reconciliation between Tae Ho and a blind girl named Yoo Jin who overcomes her disability and lives a positive life. The drama is a continuation of a project that began with the cooperation of the Ministry of Education and The Practice of Disabled People First Movement Headquarters that began in 2009 to raise awareness of and understanding towards disabled people.

The production team of the drama stated, “We found an actor with a friendly impression that would be able to portray the role of Tae Ho, who is rebellious, but also good-natured at heart. Climbing is not an easy sport, but he worked hard without any sign of fatigue.”

The drama, from the cast to the production team, was created through people donating their talent. Actress Jung Sun Kyung has appeared in all six short dramas playing a significant part in improving awareness for the disabled.

Dongjun sang the title OST track, “Hold My Hand,” and will be donating all the proceedings earned through its sales to The Practice of Disabled People First Movement Headquarters.

“Climbing the Sky Wall” will be aired on April 18 at 1 PM (KST) on KBS 2 and on April 20 at 2:20 PM (KST) on KBS 1.
