Joo Won Cast as Male Lead for Korean Version of "Nodame Cantabile"

Actor Joo Won has been selected to play the male lead in the Korean version of the famous Japanese drama “Nodame Cantabile.”

A representative of the actor’s agency revealed on April 29, “Joo Won has been confirmed for the Korean version of Japanese hit drama ‘Nodame Cantabile.’ We are currently discussing the final details.”

“Nodame Cantabile” is a widely loved Japanese manga series, which is well known for being adapted as two drama and films starring Tamaki Hiroshi and Ueno Juri. The series has been enjoyed also by the Korean audience.

Joo Won will be playing an arrogant musical genius, whereas the female lead will be played by actress Shim Eun Kyung. This drama also marks the return of Joo Won to the small screen after wrapping up “Good Doctor” around a year ago.

“Notadame Cantabile” will be the follow-up drama of “KBS2TV’s upcoming Monday-Tuesday drama “Discovery of Romance,” which will end its run in October.
