Girls' Generation's Sunny Is the New DJ of

Girls’ Generation‘s Sunny will be livening up nights starting May 12 as she starts DJ-ing for MBC FM4U‘s “FM Date.”

In “FM Date,” Sunny will become the listener’s warm comfort as they make their way home from work.

“I think you’ll see the familiar and easygoing charm of Sunny that you can’t see onstage,” Sunny shares.

This wouldn’t be new for Sunny who has had an experience DJ-ing previously for Chunji Radio with Super Junior‘s Sungmin. She has also been a regular guest on Kim Shin Young‘s “Shim Shim Tapa.”

“I grew up listening to radio a lot because of my sisters. Even now, I listen to the radio often when I’m in my car. Back then, there weren’t many chances for me to have a conversation with the public so I felt bad, but now that I have this chance, I am really giddy and happy,” Sunny said.

Sunny is determined to be a good DJ on her new show. “I will try to be the DJ who sympathizes and shares stories with my listeners,” she said.

In “FM Date,” Sunny’s will be joined by her friend, comedian Ahn Young Mi. Actor Park Geun Hyung from “Grandpas over Flowers” also promised to appear on the show.

“FM Date” will first air on May 12, 8 p.m. (KST) at MBC FM4U (Seoul/Gyeonggi 91.9 MHz). Listeners outside Korea can also listen through MBC’s internet radio “Mini.”
