EXO Continues to Rank High on Charts Around the World with "Overdose"
Male group EXO has once again confirmed their immense and broad popularity by ranking high on iTunes charts worldwide.
On May 7, their second mini album “Overdose” hit the stores in Korea and abroad. The album was released in two versions, Korean and Mandarin, as the 12 members are divided into EXO-K and EXO-M.
Five day into its release, the Korean edition of “Overdose” can be seen topping the Main Album Chart of iTunes in Thailand, Malaysia, Hong Kong, and Brunei. Furthermore, it ranks second in Singapore, third in Indonesia, fourth in Cambodia, Vietnam, and Japan, seventh in Taiwan, 20th in Panama, 28th in the Philippines, 30th in Sweden, 35th in Finland, 38th in Turkey, 52nd in Norway, 62nd in Mexico, 65th in the United States, 77th in Canada, and 88th in Peru.
Worth pointing out is EXO-K’s achievement of entering the Top 100 of iTunes Main Chart in the United States, which is often considered to be the most competitive and significant chart in the music industry.
As of May 11 at 10:50am (KST), the Mandarin edition has placed in the Top 100 in 13 countries. Most notably it ranks second in Thailand, fourth in Singapore, fifth in Malaysia, and eighth in Indonesia.
In related news, EXO will be holding their large-scale comeback show in China today on May 11.
