Broadcaster Seo Se Won Booked on Suspicion of Assaulting His Wife

On May 11, the Gangnam Police Station revealed that broadcaster and church minister Seo Se Won, who was originally a comedian, was booked without restraint in suspicion of assault during a spousal argument.

According to the police, it suspects that Seo Se Won pushed his wife Seo Jang Hee in the throat during their argument on May 10 at 6 PM in their studio apartment, which is located in Cheongdam-dong.

A security guard saw Seo Jang Hee and alerted emergency services by dialing “112” upon Seo Jang Hee’s request.

The precinct station that has jurisdiction in Seo Se Won’s area investigated him, and Seo Se Won is being hospitalized due to his diabetes. Seo Jang Hee has received medical treatment for her psychological trauma.

A source from the Gangnam Police Station stated, “We haven’t been able to investigate the case in detail on account of Seo Se Won being in the hospital, but later we will request his appearance and investigate.”
