EXO-K Enters Gaon Weekly Charts with a Bang, Sells Over 670,000 Copies of "Overdose"
EXO-K makes a grand entrance at the weekly Gaon Digital and Album Charts with five tracks from their album, “Overdose,” making the top ten of the Digital Weekly Chart and the Korean and Chinese versions of their album taking the top spots in the Album Weekly Chart for the third week of May.
Of the eight songs that have taken the first to eighth place in the ranking, five are from EXO-K.
g.o.d, who has reunited after 12 years, takes the first place with “Ugly Duckling” while EXO-K follows with “Overdose.” Baek Ji Young enters the chart at third place with “Fervor” and EXO-K places fourth and fifth with “Thunder” and “Moonlight.” JungGiGo ranks sixth with “Want U (Feat. Beenzino)” and finally, EXO-K’s “Run” and “Love, Love, Love” takes the seventh and eighth spot. HIGH4 and IU as well as Akdong Musician drop eight places in the chart and take the ninth and tenth place with their songs “Not Spring, Love, or Cherry Blossoms” and “200%,” respectively.
The chart is based on the total streaming, download, and BGM count of Gaon Chart from May 4 to May 10.
Meanwhile, EXO enters the third week of the Gaon Weekly Album Chart in first and second place with the Korean version of “Overdose” selling 381,880 copies and the Chinese version selling 290,002 copies. The repackaged version for their first album, “XOXO,” dropped two places in the chart and now ranks third.
