SM to Take Legal Actions Against Malicious Rumors and False Facts Spreading Because of Kris' Lawsuit
After announcing that EXO‘s solo concert will go on as planned, despite the situation with member Kris filing a lawsuit against the company, SM Entertainment announced on the same day that they will take legal action about the rumors and falsities spreading on the internet.
On May 16, SM Entertainment released a statement saying, “We will take legal action for the malicious rumors, false facts, and personal attacks on our people and the EXO members that spread on the internet after news of Kris’ contract lawsuit broke. Because the EXO members are struggling with the rumors and the negative comments, our company will respond to these actions. “
SM Entertainment has yet to give a direct official response to Kris filing a lawsuit for the termination of his contract, other than saying that they were looking into the situation. Kris has also laid low since the incident, with his law firm doing most of the talking.
