Actress Uhm Ji Won Gets Married to Architect Boyfriend Today

Actress Uhm Ji Won got married today, May 27, to architect Oh Young Wook. The couple made their relationship public in July last year and said that they had plans to get married in a year.

The small and simple private outdoor wedding ceremony took place this afternoon at Memories Hill in Shilla Hotel, Seoul where about 100 of the couple’s friends and family attended.  The wedding was officiated by Pastor Kim Yeo Ho Soo Ah, while announcer Park Na Rim and singer Sean became the moderators. Singer Kim Jo Han and Travel Sketch sang while the groom’s aunt, pianist Ra Jung Hye, played a piano piece to congratulate the newlyweds. Writer Jung Lee Hyun and actress Park Tam Hee, who were the groom and bride’s bridge, prepared a congratulatory message.

Uhm Ji Won’s friends from her “Ha Mi Mo” group (roughly translated as “Circle of Beautiful Ladies Who Love God”) including Kim Kyung Hwa, Kim Seong Eun, Park Na Rim, Park Soo Jin, Park Tam Hee, Shin Ji Soo, Ye Ji Won, Yoo Seon, Jeon Hye Jin, Jung Hye Young, Han Ji Hye, Han Hye Jin, and Hwang Bo sang in chorus to wish the couple more blessings in the future.

Uhm Ji Won made her debut as an actress in the 2000 MBC drama “Golden Wagon.” She has then worked on various dramas including “Childless Comfort” and “The Woman Who Married Three Times”, and movies such as “Man on the Ledge” and “Wish.” Her groom, Oh Young Wook, is an architect who graduated from Yonsei University who also authored books on travel and art.
