PSY’s “Hangover” Music Video to Be Screened First on “Jimmy Kimmel Live”
Singer PSY will appear alongside rap superstar Snoop Dogg on a special edition of the American TV show, “Jimmy Kimmel Live” on June 8, it has been confirmed. According to YG Entertainment, the agency which represents PSY, the program will also feature the world premier of PSY’s new music video, “Hangover.”
Following the show, the video will then be uploaded to YouTube. The song will be made available for purchase at 1pm Korean Time on June 9.
The agency posted a news story on its website confirming the news. The story also explained that PSY, as well as being interviewed, is set to take part in a skit on the show.
The show will air just after the NBA playoffs have been screened on ABC, and a huge audience is expected to tune in to the show as a result.
Still images from the set of the music video have shown Snoop Dogg and PSY together, drawing a great deal of curiosity from fans of K-pop and hip-hop alike. YG Entertainment explained that Snoop Dogg has become a strong supporter of of the Korean star, and has given him some important pointers about how to become a success in the world of American rap.
The unprecedented popularity of PSY’s music video for the song “Gangnam Style” continues to grow on YouTube.
“The success of that song has put a lot of pressure on me,” said PSY, though his entertainment agency. “That is why I am striving to come back with an even more entertaining release.”
“Jimmy Kimmel Live: Game Night” will air at 7pm Eastern Standard Time on June 8.
