BIGBANG's Daesung Tops Japan iTunes Chart with New Single "Rainy Rainy"
BIGBANG’s Daesung cops the top spot of Japan’s iTunes Chart with the release of his latest Japanese single, “Rainy Rainy” on June 11.
The release of the mini album “Rainy Rainy” on June 11 followed the announcement of Daesung’s upcoming solo arena tour in Japan dubbed, “D-LITE D Live Tour 2014 in Japan.” Upon its release, four tracks off the mini album entered the real time ranking of Japan’s charts including iTunes and mu-no, taking the first to fourth places in the charts.
The mini album includes two new Japanese tracks including the title track, “Rainy Rainy,” which is a medium ballad written by Daesung and the fresh and up-tempo song “Hot and Cold.” It also includes the Japanese versions of the songs “Try to Smile” and “Look at Me, Gwi-sun” that got a lot of people raving at his solo tour last year.
Daesung will have his eight-leg, 15-show arena tour in Japan starting today, June 11, with two shows at the Yokohama Arena. This will be followed by stops at Kobe World Memorial Hall, Marine Messe Fukuoka, JBO Arena Sendai, Hokkaido Sports Center, Nippon Gaishi Hall, Nippon Budokan, and Osaka Jo Hall. The arena tour is expected to draw a total of 170,000 fans in total.
