Busker Busker’s Jang Bum Joon to Return with Solo Album This Year
Busker Busker’s vocalist, Jang Bum Joon, will be coming back with a solo album in the second half of this year!
CJ E&M, the distributors of the album, stated on June 18, “Jang Bum Joon is currently preparing the album, aiming to release it within the year. The release date has not yet been confirmed.”
Last month, there was news that the singer has been making preparations for individual activities after setting up his own one-man agency, which caused rumors of the band’s disbandment to resurface. CJ E&M explained, “It hasn’t been decided yet if Jang Bum Joon will be singing and playing the guitar alone or if he will be forming another band.”
After coming in second place on Mnet’s “Superstar K3,” Busker Busker received a lot of love for their hit songs “Cherry Blossom Ending,” “Love, At First,” and “Yeosu Night Sea.” However, last December, Chung Chun Music announced, “Busker Busker will be taking a break from group promotions and the three members (Jang Bum Joon, Brad, and Kim Hyung Tae) have decided to do individual activities,” along with the news of Jang Bum Joon’s April wedding.
While Jang Bum Joon’s solo album release is set for some time within this year, how long Busker Busker will continue to put their group activities on hold is uncertain at the present time.
