TVXQ Sets New Records with Japan Tours, Over 2 Million Concertgoers
With the end of their Japan country-wide tour, male duo TVXQ has set the bar yet again with new records.
“TVXQ Live Tour 2014 ~Tree~,” which started on April 22, spanned across 10 cities in Japan, for a total of 29 concerts and approximately 600,000 concertgoers. Their first Japan tour as a duo was in 2012: “TVXQ Live Tour 2012 ~Tone~,” for which the group brought 550,000 out to their performances. TVXQ’s 2013 tour “~Time~” had a total audience count of 850,000.
For the three-year span of 2012-2014, the duo recorded a total audience number of over 2 million, setting a new record for foreign artists in Japan with the largest number of concertgoers over the shortest period of time.
TVXQ also set a record as the first foreign artist to hold solo concerts at the Tokyo Dome and the Kyocera Dome in Osaka for three years running, a testament to their immense popularity in Japan.
Yunho and Changmin will be back in Japan later this year, for the A-Nation Stadium Festival to be held at the Ajinomoto Stadium in Tokyo on August 30.
