Jang Hyuk and Jang Nara Reveal They Are Comfortable with Each Other

It’s been twelve years since Jang Hyuk and Jang Nara worked together as their last joint project “Successful Story of a Bright Girl” aired back in 2002.

On June 30, MBC’s drama “Fated to Love You” held a press conference at Yeouido’s 63 building and it’s no surprise that their working relationship was brought up.

Jang Hyuk shared, “It’s been 12 years since I’ve met Jang Nara. I haven’t done romantic comedy since then.” He went on, “Even though Jang Nara had many things happen in the past 12 years, her face is still the same and it’s comfortable to be around her.”

Jang Nara revealed, “I was just going through the grind 12 years ago when filming ‘Successful Story of a Bright Girl.’ At that time, I remembered to be comfortable with Jang Hyuk despite not really having much screen time with him. I’m having a fun time filming with him now.”

“Fated to Love You” is a remake of a 2008 Taiwanese drama of the same name. The drama achieved historically high average ratings of 10%, with peak ratings hitting 14.6%, in Taiwan. This would be equivalent to a rating of 70% in Korea. The drama will be produced by Number Three Pictures (“Arang and the Magistrate”) and directed by Lee Dong Yoon (“Queen’s Classroom,” “The Greatest Love”).

Meanwhile, the first episode of “Fated to Love You” will air on July 2 at 10 p.m. (KST).
