[Exclusive] On the Filming Set of KBS “A Song For You” with Super Junior’s Kangin, f(x)’s Amber and BTOB’s Sungjae

The Soompi Team was invited to the filming for the title sequence of KBS’ music program “A Song For You,” which took place at a studio in Gangnam, Seoul. Super Junior’s Kangin, labelmate f(x)’s Amber, and BTOB’s Sungjae were selected as the three MCs for the show’s third season.

“A Song For You” is not just any music program, but is coined a “Global Request Show” as the content is largely based on the contribution by foreign fans. The fans get to submit their stories and request songs to the guest ahead of the filming. (Find out how you can participate by going to the end of the article.) During the episode recording, the musician watches the selected video submissions and later pick which song requests to fulfill.

The filming set was bustling when we arrived as everyone from the show’s producers to the filming crew, artists and their managers and staff were busy taking care of their part in the filming, which lasted all day. The artists were notably upbeat and in good spirits despite the long filming, and would chat with the production staff to go over their part during their break.

Kangin, in particular, was the mood-maker of the set as he was playful with the staff, and looked out for his junior artists. However, he knew when to be serious when the work required it of him. Amber looked even happier when she got to hold the guitar, and remained fixed on the instrument. Sungjae, the maknae of the group, looked like he was working really hard, making sure he didn’t make any mistakes. They all did, but the maknae especially left a deep impression on us.
