Akdong Musician to Open Up About Family’s Past Financial Difficulties on “Healing Camp”

Akdong Musician, consisting of siblings Lee Chan Hyuk and Lee Soo Hyun, will open up about their difficult childhood. The duo recently appeared on the talk show set to film their episode.

In regards to their family hardships, they’ve said, “Being homeschooled in Mongolia was the reason for our difficulties. We moved to Mongolia in elementary because our parents are missionaries. We started homeschooling after our parents made the suggestion.”

The siblings explained why they became homeschooled, which was due to financial hardship. “We were in such a difficult situation that we would eat rice with soy sauce for our meals.”

Their episode will broadcast on July 7 and 11:15 p.m. (KST).
