Topp Dogg Collaborates with ZoPD for Cover of “I Don’t Think It’s Right”

Topp Dogg has uploaded a promotional video to tie in with the release of the boy band’s new digital single, a collaboration with hip hop and RnB veteran ZoPD entitled “I Don’t Think It’s Right.” ZoPD is the founder and CEO of Topp Dogg’s talent agency, Stardom Entertainment.

The track is a remake of a ZoPD song from his mini album, “In Stardom V 3.0,” released in September last year. It was written by Xepy, an urban artist and songwriter, most famous for co-writing the music and lyrics for the Junggigo X Soyu hit, “Some,” which gained huge success when it was released earlier this year.

The new release is a slower-paced RnB number, and represents a change in pace for Topp Dogg, who are known for their up-tempo, dance-driven music. A spokesperson for the group told the media, “The release really showcases the group’s own style. Topp Dogg has never really shown off this aspect of the group before.”

In the video, viewers get the chance to go behind the scenes of the recording of the song, with footage of Topp Dogg and ZoPD in the studio, rehearsing, reading through lyrics, and explaining the concept of the release. They are also shown clowning around with a large full-head mask meant to represent ZoPD, leading to a few amusing episodes. Throughout, snippets of the song can be heard in the background.
