Seo Taiji May Appear on Variety Shows Later this Year

Singer Seo Taiji, who is preparing a comeback for this fall, may appear on variety programs. It would be an unprecedented action for the mysterious singer. Seo Taiji is expecting a baby at the end of August, so he wants to meet the general public with a friendly image.

A representative of Seo Taiji’s Company stated on July 24 that “There have many places that have requested him and we are in talks with them. Though nothing has been decided yet, he is looking at all of the possibilities and positively weighing his options.”

The representative was stressing that Seo Taiji may appear on variety programs instead of restricting himself to music shows.

For a while, Seo Taiji has veiled himself. There are many things he can talk about. Broadcast companies are interested in Seo Taiji doing variety programs. If he were to appear on one, it would help the broadcast companies’ pride and ratings, killing two birds with one stone. Possible programs for him to appear in are “1 Night 2 Days,” “Infinity Challenge,” “Healing Camp” or “Running Man.”

“Infinity Challenge” is the program receiving the most attention as Seo Taiji has a deep relationship with MBC. Seo Taiji and Boys debuted on MBC and Seo Taiji’s comebacks start on MBC. As Yoo Jae Suk of “Infinity Challenge” has a relationship with Seo Taiji, MBC is hoping it is a good match.

There are many variables. If MBC wins the rights to broadcast Seo Taiji’s comeback, it might be unfair to the other broadcasting companies if Seo Taiji only appears on MBC. “Healing Camp” is a possibility as he could reveal his true feelings on the show. Currently, it looks as if “1 Night 2 Days” has the lowest chances of luring Seo Taiji to its program.

The representative from Seo Taiji company stated “Naturally half of the album will consist of rock, but then he thought it be good to have some songs that the general public will like. He wants to connect with his many fans. He stressed that last point and is working hard.”

Seo Taiji plans to release his ninth official album in October along with starting genuine activities.
