Warning: Mild spoilers ahead…

Jo In Sung and Gong Hyo Jin are currently garnering much attention as one of the hottest and most intimate couples on television, starring together in the popular Wednesday-Thursday drama “It’s Okay It’s Love.” They play the roles of Jang Jae Yeol (Jo In Sung) and Ji Hae Soo (Gong Hyo Jin). Both characters have their own personal wounds, but they begin to heal through their relationship with each other.

In episode seven, which aired last week, the two characters officially entered into a relationship. They soon got even more intimate throughout the episode, especially during their Okinawa trip in episode eight. Despite their constant bickering, they make up fairly quickly and confirm that with kisses, causing fans’ hearts to flutter.

Here is a summary of their eight kisses in eight episodes:

First Kiss at LTE Speed

Jae Yeol and Hae Soo escape to Jae Yeol’s studio apartment after running away from a brawl that occurred while they were having a drink. Feeling a bit comfortable, Hae Soo starts to talk about her fear of intimacy, and how that makes it difficult for her to have any intimate contact (“skinship”) or even kiss a man. She says that if she ever finds a man that she truly loves, she imagines that the love in their relationship would be unbelievable. To this Jae Yeol responds, “Why are you imagining it and making it some kind of pledge? Just do it. Lightly.” Hae Soo replies, “How could you do that lightly?” To this, Jae Yeol says, “Why can’t you?” and gives her a surprise kiss.

Spring Kiss—Confirming Each Other’s Feelings

After discovering Jae Yeol sleeping in the bathroom (he has a childhood trauma that forces him to do so), Hae Soo treats him no differently than she had before. Jae Yeol, feeling touched by her gestures, confides in her about his trauma. Later on, they spend some time in a spring. Jae Yeol tries to persuade Hae Soo into going in for a swim, despite her unwillingness to do so. He says, “Why don’t you just simply do it? Just like I simply told you my biggest secret,” and carries her into the water. Surprisingly, Hae Soo enjoys the feeling, happily saying, “I didn’t know about just doing anything simply. But I realize that just doing it is just doing it!” Seeing her happy, Jae Yeol walks over and again gives her a surprise kiss. This time, Hae Soo is startled yet doesn’t pull back as she kisses him back (though she later gets mad and denies her feelings).

Healing Kiss—An Honest Kiss After Entering the Relationship

After hearing that Jae Yeol had been attacked by his brother, Hae Soo hurries over to the park where Jae Yeol is waiting for her. He apologizes for not keeping his promise to go meet her and honestly tells her that he’s embarrassed. Hae Soo comforts him by saying, “You don’t have to explain everything to me.” Hearing this Jae Yeol goes in for his third kiss. This time, Hae Soo doesn’t pull back or avoid the situation. Rather, she gives him the comfort he needs and this is the first time that they honestly confirm their feelings for each other, consequently entering into a relationship.

A Parade of Five More Kisses Filled with Sweetness and Thrill in Okinawa

When the couple goes on an impulsive trip to Okinawa, they eventually start to bicker. Despite this, they make up and share kisses along the way. The very last kiss scene of episode eight even foreshadowed a sexual encounter between the two.

The drama does a good job of keeping viewers on edge; one minute Jae Yeol and Hae Soo are having a good time and the next minute they are already fighting. Fans even say that this reminds them of their own relationships. Anyone tuning in to the drama?
