Gilme Says “Don’t Kill My Vibe” in New Teaser

Singer Gilme has released a teaser for her new song “Success (Don’t KILL My Vibe).”

The teaser starts off with a piano-based melody and shadowy, backlit shots of Gilme wandering through a studio. One might assume this to be a sad song, but the tune changes as suddenly the singer dons a mask and points fiercely at the camera, showing that first impressions can be deceiving.

“Success (Don’t KILL My Vibe)” comes off Gilme’s second studio album “2 Face.” This is her first studio album in four years. The album contains two CDs. The first CD is produced by Gilme and showcases the singer’s hip-hop instinct, according to her agency. The second CD is similar to previous solo album releases by the singer. Out of the nine tracks in the album, Gilme composed three songs, including the title track. She also wrote the lyrics to all nine.

31 year old Gilme debuted in 2009 with her first digital single album “The First Purple Dream Sound.” Her title track off the album, “Love Cuts,” featured the former leader of the 90s boy group Sechskies, Eun Ji Won, who also runs the lable under which she is signed. She has released seven other solo albums since that time, and in 2011 formed the group Clover along with GYM Entertainment label-mate Mr. Tyfoon and Eun Ji Won. The group is known for its Latin-inspired sound.
