Joo Won and Sulli’s New Film, “Fashion King,” Reveals First Teaser Along with Release Date
The character trailer and the release date for the upcoming film “Fashion King” was recently revealed. The film, which is an adaptation of the popular webtoon of the same name, will be starring Joo Won and f(x)’s Sulli as the main leads. It is set for a November release, and much attention is being put on the film as fans are wondering whether it will be as popular as the original webtoon.
The 2011 webtoon not only had an explosive number of page views, but also brought to existence many parodies and new words. Its characters each introduced a new type of personality in the genre, each with their own individual charms.
The released trailer proceeds with rhythmical electronic background music and fast paced introduction of characters. Surrounded by camera shutters, each character can be seen in different poses that match their personality in the film. Joo Won especially garners much attention with his comical poses that perfectly match the character in the webtoon. Fans are wondering what kind of acting transformation he will make in the film.
The film will be about a high school student named Woo Ki Myung (portrayed by Joo Won), who transforms his life with his new interest in fashion. He has a crush on Park Hye Jin (Park Se Young) and transforms himself into a more fashionable person, thinking she will like him back. His rival is Kim Won Ho (Ahn Jae Hyun), who is already a known fashionista at their high school. Meanwhile, Sulli plays Kwak Eun Jin, who is a quiet introvert that has a secret crush on Ki Myung. Kim Sung Oh will also star in the film as Ki Myung’s fashion mentor.
