2PM Considers Changing

Broadcast network KBS has deemed 2PM‘s new track, “Go Crazy” unsuitable for broadcast because of the “vulgarities” in the track but 2PM is firm that this minor setback will not deter the group from making their new music be heard by their HOTTEST and other music fans.

According to a statement by a JYP Entertainment rep to Star News on September 4, the agency is currently considering changing some lines of the song to qualify for the broadcast standards set by KBS. “We’re discussing whether we’ll change the problematic lyrics or not. Because it’s the title track, we’ll take steps toward making sure that there are no problems in the broadcast promotional activities for this song,” said the JYP Entertainment representative.

Earlier during the KBS deliberation held on September 3, the broadcasting company decided that “Go Crazy,” the title track for 2PM’s new album, is unfit for broadcast because of crude expressions in the lyrics such as “guys who planned to go crazy” and “this dude.”

“There’s a concern that it could be a hindrance to the healthy sentiments of the youth,” explained KBS on why they gave 2PM’s “Go Crazy” such evaluation.

“Go Crazy” is 2PM’s comeback track off their fourth album of the same title which will be released on September 15, one year and four months since they released “Grown” in May last year. The song is written and co-produced by 2PM member Jun. K.The track is said to have a bounce disco and house as base.

To kick start their promotional activities, 2PM will hold a pre-party at Club Octagon in Gangnam, Seoul on September 10 before they drop the music video for their title track “Go Crazy.”
