T.O.P’s “Tazza 2” Sets Box Office Records, with 2 Million Moviegoers in Just a Week
Recently-released movie “Tazza 2” has broken a new record for films rated suitable for viewers aged 19 and over. Viewer statistics released by Lotte Entertainment, the company in charge of the film’s distribution, showed that “Tazza 2” hit the two million viewer mark merely a week after its initial release, the shortest period of time yet for the two million mark.
The movie also managed reach the two million viewer milestone a day earlier than its predecessor, “Tazza: The High Rollers,” which was released in 2007. In addition, “Tazza 2” has managed to place at number one on daily box office ratings every day since its release.
The film registered 407,151 viewers on September 8, setting a new high for movies rated 19+ released in 2014.
The movie stars BIGBANG member T.O.P, who plays the part of a talented gambler. It also co-stars actress and former Miss Korea Honey Lee, as well as “High Kick Through the Roof” star Shin Se Kyung.
