“Dorihwaga” Starring Suzy, Ryu Seung Ryong, and Kim Nam Gil Officially Goes into Production
Upcoming film “Dorihwaga” has officially begun its filming.
Starring Ryu Seung Ryong, Kim Nam Gil, Suzy of Miss A, and Song Sae Byuk, the historical film went into productions on September 10.
Ryu Seung Ryong will portray Shin Jae Hyo, a “pansori” (a genre of Korean traditional music) master who actually existed in Joseon history. Suzy will play Jin Chae Sun, the first woman pansori singer, who learns under Ryu Seung Ryong’s character to become one of the best in the country.
“Dorihwaga” is directed by Lee Jong Pil, a director and an actor who is known for his independent movies like “Ensemble” and acting roles in movies such as “The Man from Nowhere.”
The movie is expected to open in theaters in 2015.
