g.o.d’s Kim Tae Woo Reveals His Thoughts on When He Announced His Marriage

Groups g.o.d and 2PM starred on the latest episode of MBC’s “Stargazing,” which aired on September 11. During the talk, g.o.d’s Kim Tae Woo opened up about announcing his shotgun marriage.

A fan of g.o.d said, “Before announcing his marriage, Kim Tae Woo was oddly very nice to the fans. It turned out that he was nice because he was about to make a critical announcement.”

Another g.o.d fan added, “Kim Tae Woo is normally very quiet and stiff, but he started to take pictures with fans and even added a PS at the end of his autographs. We all thought it was weird that he was being so nice. But late at night Kim Tae Woo left a message on the fan café site. He said he had a girlfriend. We were all shocked but we understood and figured he needed to date since he wasn’t at a young age. But then he mentioned that he was getting married. My hands started to shake. As I kept reading the message he also said that the fans would be expecting a niece or nephew as well.” Her story brought laughter to the set as she continued, “Kim Tae Woo uploaded this message as a handwritten letter. The next day news articles began to come up with the title, ‘Kim Tae Woo Leaves a Heartfelt Message to His Fans with a Handwritten Letter.’ But we all knew. I was because Kim Tae Woo doesn’t know how to use Word.”

To this Kim Tae Woo responded, “We didn’t plan to have a child before marriage. I was also an idol and it wasn’t just news about a scandal—it had been news about a pre-marriage pregnancy. I wondered what would be the best way to reveal the news. It was important to me how the fans would take it, so I decided I would tell our fans first.” He continued, “At the time I didn’t know how to use Word so I personally wrote a letter instead. Thankfully the fans took it pretty well. Now I feel like I’m more of a family member than a star to our fans. They stood by me as I grew into an adult, then to a star, and then to a mature father.”
