Actress Lee Ji Yeon Expresses Distress over Confusion with Model of Same Name That Blackmailed Lee Byung Hun
On September 4, actress—not model—Lee Ji Yeon’s management agency, MGB Entertainment, expressed their distress after the revelation of Lee Byung Hun’s blackmail scandal. After it had been revealed that one of the two blackmailers arrested for the blackmail of Lee Byung Hun is a model named Lee Ji Yeon, many media sources seemed to have confused her with MGB’s actress Lee Ji Yeon. On September 11, the defense attorney of model Lee Ji Yeon claimed that she had been in a relationship with Lee Byung Hun. Since then, Lee Byung Hun’s management agency has refuted this statement, claiming that the model is attempting to lessen the severity of her punishment by ruining the actor’s public image.
